It felt slow and flat, but it turned out to be faster than Saturday’s run, with more elevation gained/lost. Still, definitely a recovery day.

You continue to inspire me! I bought a pair of running shoes a couple of years ago (when I was close to 20kg/44lb heavier) and used them once, said family unfriendly words and tucked them into a cupboard. I dug them out last night and went out to find all the leg muscles that I don’t use when cycling and which are therefore unused to working for a living. A quite pathetic start but a start. So no matter how slow and unfit you feel, you’re still thumping me into the ground.
Yeah, you’re totally shaming me to start up my Couch to 5K program again. I finished it last fall and was topping out at 3 miles. You running 3 miles on a recovery day (with a bag, etc.) is humbling. You are strong. You inspire.
I’ll tell you what this looks like when I see you Saturday.
